DILI, 16 may 2022 (TATOLI) – Chega National Center of Public Institution (Chega I.P) and Casa Produsaun Audio Visual (CPA) has agreed to produce a video focused on human rights.
Chega’s Executive Director Hugo Fernandes said under the agreement, Chega would provide source reports in books and videos, adding that this was also in line with the Ministry of Education’s plan to include it in the education curriculum.
“Chega plays an important role in equipping the people of Timor Leste to respect human rights and promote peace. This video will build students’ awareness to respect human rights and appreciate the sacrifices of the heroes who fought and died for the struggle for Independence,”
According to Fernandes, the video will be broadcast on television and online channels to educate students about human rights: “The content of the video focuses on Chega’s report on the history of resistance, politics, and human rights violations in Timor-Leste during the occupation.”
CPA Executive Director, Rui Muakandala said, CPA is committed to helping all institutions to promote information on human rights.
“Today, we have an agreement to make a video about Chega’s report to share with the public. CPA and Chega have worked together to produce an educational video on human rights reports,” he said.
The video will be completed in three months and some part of the video has been started in different places.
