“We have decided to deliver cooked food first to the mothers and children who hadn’t been eating since last night. We will provide also essential items, including cooking pots, frying pan, plates, and spoons, and so on. So that, tonight they can cook something for their family, and we will give them food,” Martins made the comments in Comoro village, in Dili, today.
In addition, Health Minister, Odete Belo said the Ministry of Health would arrange to set up a tent to provide ‘Emergency Medical Assistance’ to the affected families, particularly to the mothers and children.

At the same place, the Chief of the 03 Sub-Village of Comoro, Zeferino Braz said that according to the temporary data that he had so far, around 500 families are impacted by the fire, saying many had lost everything.
He said the cause of the fire is still unknown: “You know the fire occurred at around 03.00 am local time when everyone was asleep. So, at the moment we shouldn’t blame anyone to be responsible for causing the flame. I got a phone call at around 04.00 am, and when firefighters arrived, the fire was getting bigger and bigger, but luckily they helped to prevent it from spreading to other houses.” he said.
