DILI, 04 march 2021 (TATOLI)— Timor-Leste receives a donation of 40,000 pieces of face masks from the Government of China and it’s to be distributed to Timorese residents in Covalima to help limit the spread of Covid-19.
Chinese Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Xiao Jiaguo presented the gift to the Vice Minister of State Administration, Lino de Jesus Torezão at Chinese Embassy in Dili.
“Our Support is based on the request from the Ministry of Estate and Administration. I really appreciate that we hold this responsibility and we want to help stop the outbreak of coronavirus in the borders,” Ambassador Xiao Jiaguo said.
Vice Minister of State and Administration, Lino de Jesus Torezão, said, the masks will distribute to the communities in Covalima help keep the community and the public safe from coronavirus.
Ms Torezão thanked the government of China for the support to Timor-Leste as friendship country during pandemic.
According to plan, these materials will distribute as soon as possible to the community in covalima.
“These masks will be transported to Covalima, while we will ask for students from Suai who are residing in Dili, to help the Government to distribute the masks to community in Covalima,” he said.
