DILI, 21 january 2021 (TATOLI) — The President of the Oé-Cusse Ambeno (RAEOA), Arsenio Paixão Bano said the Central Government will provide 3.000 tonnes of rice to Oé-Cusse Ambeno.
Speaking to the Journalists, Bano said, Prime Minister is asking the RAEOA Authority to prepare the condition to store the foods.
“Oé-Cusse will get 3.000 tonnes of rice that is being prepared by the Central Government,” Arsenio Bano said after meeting with Prime Minister, Taur Matan Ruak.
He said, the resident from Oé-Cusse often transports the goods and other basic needs from Dili to Oé-Cusse.
At this time, he also asks the residents in oecusse to be able to save food in the midst of the covid-19 situation.
“It is true that, food prices are increases with the impact that the food will decrease, but we will work hard. I have announced to all residents in Oé-cusse not to wait for the central government to provide for us, but we all have to be able to start saving food at home, because we don’t know how long the situation will last,” he said.
Likewise, the authorities have announced to all residents to keep themselves safe from Covid-19, because the number of positive cases are continued to increase in the West Timor.
“Another option to avoid this disease is to avoid crossing the border illegally and we all have to work together to control people who are illegally trying to cross the border as well as taking care of foods in our country,” he said.
