DILI, 03 December 2020 (TATOLI)— The President of National Security Institution (PNSI), Longuinhos Armando Leite, said PNSI had registered 350 business in Dili to access to the economic recovery funding after Timor-Leste encountered the State of Emergency COVID-19.
“We have opened the registration for the business that began on November 4, and this was across 12 municipalities, including Oé-Cusse Ambeno (RAEOA). But we only recorded the data from Dili which is 350 in total,” Longuinhos Armando Leite told Tatoli at his office, Caicoli Dili.
He explains, his office has sent 120 businesses that have been verified to the Ministry of Coordinator and Economy to issue payments.
“We are not accepting new businesses registration, only the businesses that have been registered in the PNSI,” he said.
Regarding the payments fund for the businesses he said, it depends on the request from the companies since it will be based on calculation from every business about the amount of revenue, they lost during covid-19 restriction.
“A Majority of businesses request the Government to conduct the payments back for them, and the Government will pay only 6%,” he said.
