DILI, 21 September 2020 (TATOLI)– A European airline named Euro Atlantico has arrived in Dili this morning in bringing with it 195 passengers.
From the total number, 117 passengers are Portuguese; one is Spanish, one Brazilian, another one is an Irish citizen, the remainder are Timorese Students that study abroad.
“The passengers arrived with Euro Atlantic flight include 10 Timorese students from Cuba, seven from Brazil, one from Italy and another one from North Ireland, they have completed their studies and have just returned with this flight,” Director-General of protocol council and media of Foreign Affairs Ministry, Juvenco Martins told journalists at the Dili Airport.
According to him, the Timorese students have completed their studies earlier on in the year; however, they have only just returned to Timor-Leste because of airport closures due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
Portuguese citizens arrived with the cs-TKR flight at Nicolau Lobato Airport Dili at 11:10 Timor-Leste time, are the Portuguese teachers teaching at CAFÉ schools and Dili Portuguese Schools there are 68 in total.
After arriving at Dili, Airpot, they were asked to comply with the 14 days of mandatory quarantine, as a prevention for the transmission of Covid-19 disease in Timor-Leste.
